Interviews, Signings, ETC

Like many writers, I’m a bit of a hermit. I can go days without speaking to anyone besides my husband (who is basically Prince Charming with a Costco card) and Heinz, my emotional support Great Dane mix who’s been on Prozac longer than I have.

But every now and then, I crawl out of my writing cave and talk to actual people. Sometimes it’s with podcasters—usually from the sweat lodge that is my office closet. Yes, I record from in there. It’s the most soundproof spot in the house and, unfortunately, also the hottest. Picture a chubby 53-year-old woman smiling while sweat pours down her back. Somehow my face does not sweat. That may be a super power.

And sometimes, when I’m feeling especially bold (and have a Klonopin in my purse just in case), I even appear in public and sign books. In real life. Where other humans exist. I do this necessary peopling because I want Cracked Track Parents and fellow trauma survivors who are not parents to know they’re not alone.
So here’s where you can find me this summer and fall—online or in person. Come say hi, bring snacks, and maybe a portable fan.

This Wednesday on “Someone You Should Know” with Stuart Sax you will meet Lisa Gerardy, a survivor of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse as a child and young adult who has now written her painful memoir for the benefit of others. Tune in this Wednesday at 10am (CT) on Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, or StuartSax.com. No one should ever go where Lisa has been!!

I will be attending the conference on 8/8 and signing books on 8/9. If you are in the area come by!

I’m sticking to my closet and Arizona for the next few months, but I’m open to suggestions. Email me at Lisagerardywriter@gmail.com if you have an online or in person event I should attend.
